| Pre-School teachers urgently required in New Zealand |
Would you like to live in New Zealand? We can help you gain permanent residency, find you a job, a work visa, plus find you a brand new home – all through the Pegasus Assisted Immigration Programme. If you have pre-school teaching qualification, then you can help fill a looming shortage that the country is facing in 2010. According to Early Childhood Council chief executive, Sarah Farquhar, the Ministry of Education’s new qualification requirements - which ask some of the country’s most experienced teachers to attend a specialised course - exacerbates the chronic teacher shortage in the country. The qualification move comes as the Ministry estimates centres will be short of between 1500 and 2600 teachers for 2010. Today, 50 per cent of staff members at an early childhood centre are required to hold recognised qualifications. This will go up to 80 per cent next year, and to 100 per cent in 2011. Any teacher holding any other qualification, such as a bachelor of education degree in primary teaching, will have to retrain to secure employment next year, regardless of their experience in early childhood education. Through the Pegasus Assisted Immigration Programme, we will help you to: Built around a beautifully designed lake and extending to the ocean shores of Pegasus Bay, Pegasus offers an incredible array of recreational features, such as a temperature controlled swimming bay, hot pools, 18-hole golf course, restaurants and cafes, boutique shopping and larger-scale retail stores, a premier resort hotel, high quality schooling and pre-schooling, and aquatic centre, and all within walking distance of every home.
