| Becoming a zenlightened leader |

Leadership is both an art and a trained skill. Directors who fail to direct and managers who fail to lead are at the root of what ails the corporate world today. A survey of thirteen thousand workers in all major industries shows that fewer than two out of five employees trust their senior leaders. According to the Centre for Public Integrity, we are at the lowest level of trust in government and companies since the 1930’s. People are looking for a life raft of security right now, given the economy, the media’s ever-so frightening coverage of world events and the unknown quality of the future. On top of that, they’re not happy and they’re not using their unique gifts. Collectively, we no longer trust the government and have learned that the only person we can really trust is ourselves. But if you’re not in alignment with yourself, nothing in your life will work. Unless a company can resolve the crisis of confidence among its employees, it has little hope of restoring the trust and confidence of investors and customers. There are several crucial steps to becoming a Zenlightened and trusted leader. However, the most important to convey about this process is critical thinking, a skill that is under-used and under-appreciated. We are conditioned to believe that there is something outside of us that is greater than our own knowingness. We are taught to serve by rote and that the establishment has our back. And it couldn’t be further from the truth. As a leader, you must embody and convey the power of clarity and doing what is right. And be sure to communicate that effectively with your employees, investors and stakeholders. I’ll share more about creating passion, purpose and profits with integrity, so stay tuned… To Business Zen and Beyond… ~ Forward this message to a friend - http://oi.vresp.com/f2af/v4/send_to_friend.html?ch=4edc761d69&lid=1788546983&ldh=6eb4607bb0 This message was sent by Corporate Zen Center using VerticalResponse
